Over the years, a dramatic increase in drug addiction was. It 'hard to imagine someone presents a new vision - is the dependence leads to destruction and cause addiction rehabilitation. In any case, the addiction drama very tempted to serious actor. What a great act for the opportunity to present the riff - emotional devastation, a life out of control. Just think of all the actors who received awards (and rightly so, because mostPart) for the detection of this belly decomposed human existence. What a refreshing surprise of the two "Down To The Bone" and Vera Farmiga are the benefits, as is natural, simple and unpretentious are.

Farmiga plays Irene, a woman and mother of two children. A functional addict with a job as a supermarket checker Irene recognizes that their dependency is a normal childhood at risk for their children. Even if the husband is also a user, Irene shall clean theirLife when you hit a low point control stealing her daughter's birthday and groped to update the score. The film charts the progress through a program of outpatient rehabilitation and subsequent sessions, as they tried a drug free life. These scenes are played with a simplicity and sincerity. Are very naturalistic and play other parts, like real people instead of fonts. There is no emotional sensationalism, just real people who are trying to regain control over life - so fleeting thatcan control. Connect with a nurse (and former heroin addict) in rehab, Hugh Dillon in a great performance, Irene sees a success story and perhaps the possibility of a clean life.

Not everything is easy on the outside, but never. Struggles with his work (which loses efficiency if they are not stoned), a husband-support, and a possible new love interest - Irene's life is more complicated than ever. But they need to make changes to survive and succeed. In all, the subtlety of performance Farmiga keeps you invested in their history. Not a hero, not an enemy - is a mess protagonist make mistakes. Farmiga has no need of great moments to forward the complexity of Irene, and this is certainly the power of a great talent.

Director Debra Granik has done an incredibly simple movie about a very difficult subject. Irene Farmiga to develop as a real person and remove vanity and "theatricality," "Down to the Bone"appears to be a sincere, relevant, unobtrusive control the drug operation. I look forward to further work Granik and Farmiga (who has a big role in "The Departed" After this film shows that only a fraction of their obvious talent). KGHarris, 07.02.
