Use Your Illusion 2 Specifications

Had Use Your Illusion II been combined with Use Your Illusion I, keeping only the best material while dropping the filler, it would have been one of the best rock albums ever recorded. Instead, great songs like "Civil War," "14 Years," "Estranged," and "So Fine" compete with the inexcusable "Get in the Ring" and the well-intentioned but off-target cover of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door." There's no point to the second version of "Don't Cry," either. On the other hand, when Guns N' Roses were good, they were very, very good, and some of the material on this album is unsurpassable. --Genevieve Williams

Customer Reviews

Like many of the contributions over UYI II, this album is a masterpiece of awesome quality, which is a euphemism.
For any rock fan, this CD is an absolutely essential and I ask you to listen properly.

With appetite, based GNR is dangerous, hard-rock band that wrote about drugs, alcohol, and generally covered the same areas every rock band. Thus, the strong emotions on their next two albums reached a complete contrast.
But whatremained was the ability the whole band, the music does not repeat or write and share with each song a unique blend of excellent guitar work, a classic rhythm section that is often overlooked, and Axl's vocal ability and songwriting talent excellent.

Of the two albums that contains more of the longer songs, the band representing the best work.
Elongated ballads, rock songs as long abstract are lined with classic hard rock you'd expect from such aBand. This variety, in my opinion, is what this is one of the best albums of all time, if not at the top makes.

"Estranged" is more an art than a song - It starts with a whisper that Axl send rain on the back. The song then turns into an epic with such an amazing guitar line of Slash is hard to believe that was created by a mortal man, ballad.
It captures the essence of sadness, human relationships and feelings with perfection.

With too many songs like this, there is no place to go all over.
"Civil War" is an abstract tone of the guitar effects are Slash, where the song. Also completely different from drug abuse, is this political protest to a party rock ballad and accusatory against other monsters. All accessible by intelligent lyrics and emotional guitar work, accompanied by just under eight minutes long, is another epic of the GNR.
"Loco" is one of my favorites -during the main part, is a hard rock song visit to abstract and confusing aspects of life, burden on the mind and heart. The guitar is back in this one - Slash uses a tone, the song fits perfectly.
The culmination of this amazing is the instrumental section at the end. As Axl finished his final metaphor (there are hundreds in the song), breaks the music of a piano gently guided, abstract rhythm. Ghost-like lyrics - "Love is so strange" - are repeated, sothe strangest feeling. Sprinkled with this exciting piece of music played Slash completely smooth, mute strings with another strange effect. This meeting in force and you are lost, the world pick up as the song in a monotone increasing and the guitar solo break in - all of perfection achieved and how the different instruments come together is a tribute to the band skills.

In short, this album is much more than a collection of songs.Your connection to bare the human condition is present and is merely a work of genius.

Ramones (Dlx) Overview

Media Type: CD
Artist: RAMONES
Title: RAMONES
Street Release Date: 06/19/2001

Genre: PUNK

Ramones (Dlx) Specifications

The Ramones' April 1976 debut, recorded for little more than ,000, long ago passed into legend. Its exalted status as the inspiration for thousands of punk bands worldwide, though, hasn't overshadowed its monolithic roar, the knowing hilarity of its lyrics ("Judy Is a Punk" crams the SLA, the Ice Capades, and a salute to Herman's Hermits into a 90-second frame), and the impulse to blast it for everyone within earshot: Hey, listen to this. Embracing and rewriting rock & roll history at once, Ramones speeded up heavy music, adding a pop patina to songs inspired by horror movies and glue sniffing, and claiming a great Chris Montez tune ("Let's Dance") from the supposedly fallow period that had fallen between Elvis and the Beatles. Absurdist, yeah (how could anything with Joey's super-affected Liverpool-via-Queens accent be otherwise?) and also smart: "Havana Affair" is the greatest song about the cold war this side of Dylan. This remastered edition complements the original LP with a slew of demos, including a Spectoresque "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend," and the single version of "Blitzkrieg Bop," that, equally prophetically, puts Joey's vocal through a mixing trick that makes him sound like he's on the mic at a football game. --Rickey Wright

Customer Reviews

This seems to give the album as the first true punk album to be nominated. I do not want to go to punk started in this post, since that does not really have enough activity that tested as "proto-punk" get. In any case, the Ramones have what I have read, have a great influence in Britain, where many of which would be the first wave of British punk have been, came to see and be with them. This is the end of the triangle-based British punk I said in my head. The last page of thisTriangle in Australian punk band The Saints and Radio Birdman, who did not have first-hand contacts with the Ramones or the British scene can not really say was influenced by the side of the Ramones' or part of the British punk scene. In fact, before this Australian action "released most if not all emissions in the United Kingdom from this part of the world.

After following my comments on this album by a 2 to 1 release of "Ramones / Rocket to Russia", to say that I haveto see the Ramones, the characters are distinctive guitar sound and lyrical themes with punk's the American way "punk" is (to be so off the British sense of universal, with bands like the Sex Pistols came). But compared to the approach to the guitar Saints 'say more promising debut from the sound "(I'm) Stranded" I would be better served by The Ramones The saints' in the mix. With the Saints, their sound is clean, clear, abrasive and in the foreground. With The Ramones, unfortunately, sounds like Mrs. Ramone was in the mixing booth and the sound of punk guitar looked like a little 'strong' was or something. If this is a faithful reproduction of the original sound of their albums, I must say, it would be good to have a new Remaster where the guitar in the foreground and are abrasive.

In addition to bringing the Ramones approach to their pop-punk rhythm. Address their problems and concerns of the song in the United States'Punk' ... to take snapshots of the squalid side of their city and their passion for the drugs. Not one of those lazy philosophy that the Sex Pistols on the table and mark the punk movement ... a purchase, bands like the Ramones and the Saints may be excluded from the new punk scene mainstream would bring.

Ok, the songs I like this album ... this is my first Ramones album ... a little 'back, I checked their 3CD anthology, which I liked. Without goingmy review of this here, I'm guessing that if I went through all the songs in this review because at the time did not need so much. Well, I seem to find some of these attractive, I think.

Best Songs:

I want to be your friend - very sweet 50's song ... may have had that kind of mood you get from women's groups. A guitar sounds pretty, while the other is the traditional punk sound. If you like Blondie's "beautiful" in the flesh ", the songshould appeal equally. Or maybe The La's "There She Goes" is another point of comparison for this song. In any case, the guitar solo in this song is beautiful and the Ramones provide other choirs. It 'hard to believe that any mother would not have pushed her daughter in the direction of Joey after listening to him here at its best! The demo version by the end of support cd longer has to sing.

53rd & 3rd - has a catchy and seems to have a veteran of the Vietnam War, is a failureProstitute!

For the best songs:

Blitzkrieg Bop - a song that grew on me to listen to the second. It has a classical-guitar sound is catchy and has some nice beats and bass remarkable. The Clash pays "I fought the law" to return chant melody spirit.

Down On My Knees - 50's style rock and roll, bass-heavy, with nice choruses and clapping hands (actually I think my 2 for 1 song title wrong ... "Down On My Knees" sounded suspiciously similar to"Judy is a Punk" ... so, I wonder if my CD with the track listing errors resale value is?). The demo version of "Judy is a Punk" is not a very good sound quality but end up with a piano.

Let's dance - another '50s-style rock and roll song with which artists such as Cliff Richard in England and Australia in spirit Johnny O'Keefe. I compilation of these two works reviewed here ... recommended. This song has an organ or keyboard and drum fills often cold.

The rest:

Beat On The Brat - it has some heavy metal-ish guitar sounds fuzzy. The End Of The Century, The Ramones name drops of Blue Cheer, which can be a source for this serious approach to music.

Chainsaw - I think this is the second song on this album, which features Joey put on the dog, so to speak (which is trying to type an English accent when you sing, sometimes). A final example of this case with "I do not care" towards the end of the album). L 'intro has the classic punk guitar sound ... Angle wants to work on metal. My notes indicate that I found this song to kind of function, as the theme for the film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ... a score for a horror movie, in other words.

Now I want to sniff some 'glue - bass-heavy, presented the classic sound of punk guitar, lead guitar solos. I wonder if the title of a required payment of a song title of the Stooges'.

I will not go into the basement - a song with good bass lines. Here the bass guitar as a quasi-guitar solo, I think. It has the classic punk guitar sound, but again it is a pity that all this goodness down the road in the mixture, is enigmatic. The next track, "Big Foot" sounds kind of like this track even the low rate and elsewhere.

Havana Affair - is from this point of low sound samey, but the amplifier on pieces of guitar fuzz are beautiful ... In other words, sometimes you feel in this song, as it shouldsound when the guitar was in the foreground.

Listening to my own - seems to play bass riff like punk, but not the notes, chords. It seems to be a song of lost love.

I do not want to go with you - fresh, driving, funky bass ... really put on. It reminded me of Red Hot Chili Peppers. He choirs.

Today your love - words are difficult to understand, as usual. The songs are discussed below part of the bonus tracks on this CD offers ...

IDo not Care - a good way if you like the bottom ... I am reminded of the classic "Little Green Bag" or, say, The White Stripes "7 Nation Army." Traction is the other track, where Joey tried an English accent, but it is difficult to understand, with irony.

I can not - track the Embassy, with a little amped up guitar, grunge sound ... has a classic punk riffs sound ... I wonder if you draw on the cliff of "Chinese Rock", after the Ramones record, and wasRamones recorded from the beginning of his career with another band (The Heart Breakers, is the memory).

Now I want to sniff some 'glue - heavily distorted guitar with a bit of outstanding guitar soloist. Bass has some songs that remind me of "7 Nation Army."

I do not want to learn / I do not want to be tamed - a bass-heavy fuzz rock song.

You should never open the door are low - interesting, I think, and it sounds similar to a needle jumps to a vinyl record. It has a classical structure punk opera, with regard to the chorus. The texts are thematically Horror ... threatening, in other words.

Blitzkrieg Bop - The kind of sound mono intro to this song.

As a result, it is a solid punk album. It has excellent sound quality, especially coming as the sound of the bass guitar and vocals (first floor in the mix). It 's a shame that the sound of punk guitar is changed briefly in this album. He wanted to have more than one board, which, asget with debut album The Saints', which precedes any album by a British punk rock group, I think. I would be the original album 8 / 10, but also the bonus tracks, I'd give this CD to 85-90/100.

Recommendations:

The Saints: (I'm) Stranded - for me this album the songs that seem to anticipate the latest movements in music such as speed and thrash etc. is more than one listening, however, have received. I have a higher rate album, The Ramones' debut, but it took me more than, Listening to come to this point of view.

Radio Birdman: Radio show - get described as "proto-punk", but this Australian band released their debut the same year as the Saints. It has a variety of sound ... of "Oi!" Art Punk, punk speeds based on easy-listening jazz. I felt Television Marquee Moon, who do not consider myself punk, although it is classified as such. If television were Punk, Radio Birdman might be what you would play. If you want toRadio Birdman's jazz, easy listening songs, listen to Marquee Moon, although I did not have to reward a lot of them.

The Damned: Damned Damned Damned - the first English punk band, an album ... a fact that has brought my attention to the latest issue of "Classic Rock" magazine, by Joey Ramone, in an interview that was later published version, even if carried out year (the interview is in the "alternative history of Heavy Metal "issue by someMonths back. Joey takes full credit for each of the first wave punk band to come ... I will not accept an application, at least for the Australian punk scene).

Presence

Presence Feature

  • Led Zeppelin - Presence Brazil Import

Presence Overview

2005 Japanese standard jewel case pressing of Led Zeppelin's 1976 album. Features the same tracks and mastering as the US edition but includes an OBI and Japanese/English insert. Warner. 2005.

Presence Specifications

Presence is one of Led Zeppelin's more overlooked albums, languishing in the monstrous shadow of its predecessor, Physical Graffiti. It's more noted in Zeppelin mythology for the circumstances in which it was recorded, in double-quick time with vocalist Robert Plant's leg in plaster after a car accident. The lack of time does show--much of the album feels like generic heavy rock, bigger on volume than variety. It's worth the price of the album, however, for the 10-minute-plus "Achilles Last Stand" (a crashing, galloping epic with John Bonham sounding like he's replaced his drumsticks with tree trunks) and "Nobody's Fault but Mine," a Blind Willie Johnson blues regenerated with a 3,000-watt boost by Jimmy Page. --David Stubbs

Customer Reviews

PRESENCE 1976, Led Zeppelin was recorded directly after the great success of Physical Graffiti, and their sound is very opposed to this album. I think it's a good thing, though. What I like about this album is its simplicity. There is intense Jimmy's guitar, bass John Baldwin and John Bonham on drums. Bonham shines on this album, especially Achilles Last Stand I really like this song in his crowded, and the rest of the album, for that matter. This had the 'Incident in the same year as the song remains the same (live), released the sales involved. But here we are talking about Zeppelin, Led and everything he touched turned to gold, after all they have. It took many years for the critics and the public to board Zeppelin III, and this album is considered a good job, and a classic. Presence is blues-oriented, and has combined its roots to the 7 tracks. This was an important issue, because it is presumed that theAlbum, which held the band together after the accident at Plant in 1975 and, as it turns out, the last album, 1979 IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR, the tragic events in the life of the plant follows and the time is off. I like the whole album, especially for a tea, Achille's Last Stand, for your life and the Royal Orleans. Overall, the presence of a good album. Sometimes something that can be thrown together is better than something that is carefully planned. This was a great effort to mitigateCircumstances. 9.5/10

Customer Reviews

WWE fans as myself, I can honestly say it has made the best album ever WWE like never before every song published, covering the latest superstar to society. I was very excited when I bought it, and I was not disappointed. Here is my opinion on each song:

First, there is a new day: Now just melted Ted subject to Debiasi Legacy, this is an excellent choice to start with the album. The song is symbolic in this sense, as the album offers a "newDays "of young superstars. For him, this very well.
I am the second perfection: Dolph theme is pretty good. It is not quite as good as Ted, but still a good choice for this album.
Third I came to play: I was surprised because I liked best about Miz heard on the disc. I was also surprised at how much time - almost 5 minutes! I think this song is much more now that I have heard him.
Fourth Close your eyes: One of the best songsAlbums. Christian theme has been previously published, but this version is using, since he returned to WWE. It exceeds the previous version, and is one of my favorites.
Get the fifth Hitman: This surprised me too. Each theme is WWE Bret Hart fan, I have heard a lot expected from this. I easily overlooked. The theme has been updated to when Bret back in the WWE, and sounds even better than before. Although this is the longest track onthe album at 5:37, starts are not always useless. I liked it.
Posted in sixth face: Again, it is appreciated now, after only hearing them without seeing Sheamus use them as input. Another important issue to be heard.
Seventh Insatiable: Now I have nothing against the stars, but unfortunately for them, their problems pale in comparison to other superstars. This is just dance music. If you want these things, you'll probably like this. It 'been so-so for me.
8thDomination: Not bad. I'm not large in rap, so it was not too impressed. But if you are inside, not a bad song.
Ninth Born to win: Very good. Fast and up-beat. The sounds of the disc, particularly the large jet sounds!
10th Oh, Puerto Rico, probably the worst album. It is not really a very good argument to start, and very forgettable.
11 Radio: Since getting her new look and Zack Ryder began with the subject, I wanted to MP3, and now is here. Before I boughtthe album, I read a few reviews saying that this song is "forgotten." Do not believe them. This song is one of the best album. I think what is clear is that it is so different from all others. Would be to develop a good song, the lyrics in a male to bring more atmosphere to it.
12 ° New Foundation: When Bret topic was not on the disc, not the spirit. But after hearing this song for Bret few minutes, the melody begins to age. Youshould have either disc, because they are too similar, both are here. Taken by itself, is a large item. But it is a bit 'too much with the theme Hitman already on the disc.
13 can be seen - but you can not touch: Once more from the dance music divas. And 'so-so.
14th Crank the walls: this is the mix of Chris Jericho and Big Show-issues if it were a tag team. It 's a great way to finish the album. And if their inputs were not difficultrock enough, the mixing of merging the two remaining heavy stone entrance. This is awesome!

Taken together, this album is the best WWE has been published as usual, and I recommend it. Only some of the songs here, like Zack Ryder, Christian, and Miz is worth the price. Buy now!

My mother bought this CD for my daughter when she was about eight months. She now has 16 months and this album seems to help her go as soon as she hears the opening bars of "Raven", he puts his head on my shoulder and closes her eyes. Makes it a rule not much past "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." I transferred to my iPod, so we drive. Definitely my new baby shower gift.

Labyrinth Specifications

Sarah (a teenage Jennifer Connelly) rehearses the role of a fairy-tale queen, performing for her stuffed animals. She is about to discover that the time has come to leave her childhood behind. In real life she has to baby-sit her brother and contend with parents who don't understand her at all. Her petulance leads her to call the goblins to take the baby away, but when they actually do, she realizes her responsibility to rescue him. Sarah negotiates the Labyrinth to reach the City of the Goblins and the castle of their king. The king is the only other human in the film and is played by a glam-rocking David Bowie, who performs five of his songs. The rest of the cast are puppets, a wonderful array of Jim Henson's imaginative masterpieces. Henson gives credit to children's author and illustrator Maurice Sendak, and the creatures in the movie will remind Sendak fans of his drawings. The castle of the king is a living M.C. Escher set that adults will enjoy. The film combines the highest standards of art, costume, and set decoration. Like executive producer George Lucas's other fantasies, Labyrinth mixes adventure with lessons about growing up. --Lloyd Chesley

Customer Reviews

I can honestly say that I have no idea who he was, when I saw this movie, but I love it! I remember this movie on Disney Channel when I was about 8 or 9, especially around Halloween. I wish my watch and bop her head to the songs and I really enjoyed this movie. It was not until I was 19 and I happened upon this movie to a friend who immediately recognized the film as "Labyrinth" and almost immediately got up and went to the local Walmart, describe this little number Pickup! I do not even know that Sarah was played by a young Jennifer Connelly so far.

David Bowie is timeless and beautiful in this film! I love her dazzling costumes, and always on the screen seems to me the breath from my throat margins. Bowie is not even in my generation and I am a hardcore fan-girl of his. His music is sublime in this film, particularly "as the World Falls Down" in the fan-favorite dance scene (the scene I used to watch the movie when I describe to forget his name). I alsoSuch as "Within You ',' underground ',' Chilly Down 'and of course' Magic Dance ': Yes, if you love this movie and watch the first thing you want to get your hands is the soundtrack.

The DVD extras are moving, and I felt privileged for the film, and the comments by the actors themselves, and, of course, Bowie. The margins are also very fun to watch as well. Oh I forgot, we do not, the fact that this film would not even be possible without a master puppeteerJim Henson.

Jennifer Connelly as Sarah is so cute. His character is complemented by some growth into the film. Begins as a selfish, kids, immature young girl, whose tired, his younger brother, Tobey, convulsion their lives. She wants him involuntarily with a statement of "magic words" and before you know it, during which the Goblin King (Bowie) has granted the wish. Knowing what they did, proposes a pact with the king in bad faith and enter theMaze, as a struggle against time to save to meet their brother, or will remain forever in the grip of the Goblin King. On the way to meet some interesting characters and it makes friends for help (or distraction) in their journey.

Some say that this film is like a child or creeped, or seems too strange and Corny to look like an adult. I disagree. This film is a fun and see if you saw him as a child and you will see him with a wave of nostalgia hit as an adult! I highlyrecommened this movie for children and adults (especially if you're a Bowie!)

That Lonesome Song

That Lonesome Song Overview

He could be basking in his songwriting accolades, but Jamey Johnson remains a restlessly creative maverick.

Jamey is the co-writer of the CMA and ACM 2007 Song of the Year "Give It Away," recorded by George Strait. Trace Adkins, George Jones and Joe Nichols have also recorded his songs. But instead of sitting at home counting his royalty checks, Jamey Johnson recorded more than 40 songs during the past year.

Not content with providing hits for others, the singer-songwriter has a powerful drive to sing, record and perform.

"Writing is not enough for me," says this intense artist. "I did not come here to just be a writer. I live to play....I'm not here to take a stab at it. I am going to DO it."

Following a deep period of isolation and introspection, Jamey Johnson entered the recording studio in April 2007. Within months, Jamey emerged with That Lonesome Song, a collection of extraordinary compositions that is equally noteworthy for its lyrical craftsmanship and its strikingly original sound.

The first single from the album is "In Color" and is available in the Amazon MP3 store.

That Lonesome Song Specifications

The final cut on That Lonesome Song—kind of a concept album meets musical manifesto—is titled "Between Jennings and Jones," which is where Jamey Johnson finds himself shelved in the CD racks, and also how he describes his sound. Actually, there's way more Jennings than Jones, with two cuts covered from Waylon's classic Dreaming My Dreams (the title track and "The Door Is Always Open"), another paying tribute to him by name ("The Last Cowboy") and several others borrowing liberally from his sound. Yet in terms of both concept and sound, the bare-bones intimacy of this bittersweet divorce album remind more of Willie Nelson's Phases and Stages (at least side one, the man's side), with the opening "High Cost of Living" ("ain’t nothing like the cost of living high") setting the "Bloody Mary Morning" tone, extended by the sad country waltz of "Angel" and continuing through the down-and-out epiphany of the title track. Only the comparatively lightweight novelty of "Women" indicates that this is the same guy who wrote "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" for Trace Adkins. --Don McLeese

Customer Reviews

I loved country music for 60 years, and measured the 70 years since all the artists of Waylon. Only Jamie Johnson I felt it deserves a place of Waylon, and is made even better with clear reference to Jamie's unique style and writing songs for Waylon. If, like me, have hoped for a singer's talent and tradition to keep alive Jennings, Jamie came to our rescue. Do not get me wrong, Jamie's music is his, but his originality andPlay Waylon honesty, and I can pay no higher toll. Buy this album again and discover what may be the great country music.

Eagles are a living legend. With a sound all their own, simply have their own way in rock history.

This complication of the songs in my opinion, are not as good as their early stuff is still working overtime. The album sounds great and the hard drive has a wide range of great songs.

A must for those who love the Eagles, and not all of them to get the regular album.

Korn III - Remember Who You Are

Korn III - Remember Who You Are Overview

Their ninth offering, 'Korn III -Remember Who You Are,' is their first effort for brand new label home, Roadrunner Records, and it bursts at the seams with that very feeling that defined the band from the get-go. Each song unleashes an uneasiness reminiscent of Korn's earliest and most unbridled material, but there's also a modern refinement that's epic in its execution. Korn definitely don't lose sight of their roots on 'Korn III - Remember Who You Are,' but they also venture into uncharted darkness. All that truly matters is where they're going. The album strikes a balance between their past and their future, as it finds the band reuniting with producer Ross Robinson, who manned the boards for their first two records, all the while joining forces with Roadrunner Records, the world's leading rock label. With 'Korn III - Remember Who You Are,' it's their time...

Dunn is new to the school, when he spoke of Caesar, the boy chubby nerd Ed Rooney (Dillon) loves to take it, is to become friends. Cesar Dillon is all it is not. To complete the group, there is Williams, perverse, but good-hearted son, and Corbett (Dempsey).

Dunn, through trial by fire is the friendship offered by Rooney after the two get into a fight. Rooney loves and does not Dunn for ratting him out ofBrothers (teachers) on a broken chair, where Rooney was next to all the screws, so that Cesar could fall. They become friends and with intelligence and perhaps the fate begins to Rooney, a friend of Caesar, even if the occasion stabbed.

The group reached a place where you can drink soda, smoking cigarettes and music of the 1960s (Film hearing held in 1965). Sometimes they are attacked meeting on the vine because of brothers forced the local municipalityBust to all who smoke and do not act accordingly.

The group hangs out and everything became the best friend of all the single common goal, none of them wants to become a priest. This link will unite and helps them become best friends, and eventually solidified their friendship even more if one of the brothers, she loves the discipline with physical violence, too far a chain reaction that leads only cements bonds of their friendship.

Overall, the filmis impressive. I have never taken place, but I'm glad I did. It 's funny, nice and clean, the constraints of developing Frienship see from beginning to end. You will remember the time you were at school.
