No Name Face is an auspicious debut from a band seemingly made to rule the airwaves. The insinuating melodies that mark Lifehouse's radio-friendly sound are not unlike those of matchbox twenty or Live in their softer moments. From the first single, "Hanging by a Moment," to the emotive and uplifting "Quasimodo" and the wonderful "Trying" (think Crowded House at their lilting best), Lifehouse are self-possessed and focused. Young singer-songwriter Jason Wade (the son of two ministers) imbues Lifehouse's vibe with a spiritual quality that's never heavy-handed, delivering the goods with the authority of an experienced troubadour. No Name Face may be a first offering from a young band, but it looks to signal the beginning of an estimable career. --Katherine Turman

I must confess one thing: House when life first appeared in 2001 with "Hanging By A Moment ', I thought it was just another Creed song. Then I stopped playing the band ... and I realized that this new group all unlike his first song was. A mix of rock, soul-searching lyrics, and the harsh voice of Jason Wade, Lifehouse's debut album "No Name Face" is still high for almost a decade.
If you are looking for a full record of hymns, I tell you now, to skip it. DuringThe length can cause the sensation (and, in 2001, there was someone in America who did not know that song?) Is the residue of him more along the lines of Daughtry meets Keane. "Sick Cycle Carousel" is a great rock song like "Only One". 'Cling and noise "and" Breathing "is a bit' more pop, although not unique enough to be confused with most of them are tunes from the radio. And: "Simon" and "Everything" are still among the under-rated songs ever recorded - with soaring choruses research,It is immediately drawn into its magic.
But what makes it unique is its amazing song Lifehouse. With lines like "you have lost and to hide in the search for something else behind it" (to find 'Simon'), every song is full of meaning. It 's the feeling of actual combat, the real emotions - Real Life - in these songs. The unusual voice singer Jason Wade (which is immediately recognizable, a little 'scratchy, a bit' raw) only adds to the feeling.
It 'been almost ten years sinceThis was rejected. And while it is in my CD player every time in the past, I'm still scope for "No Name Face" when I listen to rock music. And 'timeless, Great Stuff.
