Randy Newman is a songwriter and satirist. If you've never heard of him, which is not surprising. I have about 10 of his old vinyl albums, but had not received Randy maybe 10 or 15 years.
He won an Oscar for "You've Got a Friend in Me." He has uncles, who wrote many films of great music. His uncles were famous, but Randy was a bit 'unknown.
He writes songs that are very controversial. His best known "big" success was probably "ShortPeople. "
