Crystal Castles Overview
This Toronto based duo of Ethan Kath and Alice Glass have amassed a cult like following through their uncompromising and intense delivery. Stars of the electronic scene, this is Crystal Castles self titled release that is sure to make all the hipsters Top 10 of 2010.

This is not a bad album, lets get that close before continuing, but I bought at the same time as the most recent and Ladytron Bells sled. All these albums are pretty down, but none of them fully lives up to hype my expectations.
Crystal Castles, take the opposite direction MGMT, how to approach a record follow-up. While MGMT rebelled against their popular success, with the side pursueing least popular of the two basic types, CrystalCastelli has chosen the most popular side of their sound. DC's first album, had an 8-bit punk side Married to a more sophisticated house-beat-with-sound vocoder (IE: Air, blackmoth Super Rainbow, etc.). As for me, not a drop of punk aesthetic this new version. This version is the kind of slick over-produced affair that is sure to many DC hipster DJ mix tapes around the country post-rave world, but at the expense of losing their fan base boardglitch/noise/circuit-bent/8-bit heads.
I'm sure this was a small price to pay for a social wage, which certainly will increase up to the equivalent of winning a lottery. However, if their plan is the right side of things back on the third version, can run into problems because we now have to Motown for a chance 'to a group that I know are Raising Hell. Perhaps Universal / Motown hope they draw some Lindsay Lohan Drama and score them someFirst page. I doubt it. Noting that the new Ladytron album Cristia Aguilera has contributed, we rather see DC instead of producing for Lohan, or perhaps more appropriate: Lady Gaga.
It seems like this new sound DC, although some of their old sound terribly sterile and safe compared to the bombast of their debut. The rave reviews do not surprise me either, because the album spends much time on mass action, and very little time for artistic heritageSelf-expression. However, it is a good album. I'm just a critic, it was pretty mind numbing as the others describe as critical. There are a lot of stuff sudo-hipster dance that critics love and I do not like LCD Soundsystem, Battles seems, however, as I bought blackmoth justice, or instead.
I sincerely hope that the subtle approach to DC to take this version will grow on me, because it is instant gratification so far. , I am shocked that not blow awayLadytron last album. In fact, merging almost seamlessly into our car CD changer. The best of both albums is their lack of mis-steps. In comparison, Sleigh Bells and Jaguar Love take plenty of risks in the future, their sounds, but both groups are separated by missteps and awkward songs that never get up and deliver Strait.
