Only one point of view just before entering the test: I was a fan of Mudvayne way in 2001 when I saw her music video for "Dig," a single from her debut album LD 50 I was and am not a fan of the genre music known as Nu-Metal. Unlike contemporary Mudvayne, their music felt fresh, intelligent and progressive. I devoured LD 50, and could not wait for his follow-up - The End of All Things to Come.
A second album followed in almost TEOATTCAnyway. It 'was harder, smarter, and contained less filling. I honestly believed that Mudvayne has created a lasting legacy that would end with them held in high esteem. Then they released Lost and Found ... It was not a bad album, but it was nothing like their previous efforts. The album seemed at odds with Staind voice. I lost a little 'respect for band as a singer in an interview that the band had received to a point where Chad was going to go mainstream orhome. His fourth album, a new game was terrible. I lost interest in the full band.
I am very happy that I Mudvayne self-titled album to give a chance why not closer to their present form than anything we ever heard of the band. The album is heavy, can be incremental, and there is no rule-Scream-scream softly singing the song structure, which had spread so far the two previous albums. The album feels as if it were made only for the fans who have supported the band and soonwon for the youngest fans.
While the two previous albums only contained a few bright spots, this album contains only a few clothes, "Scream with me" and "Dead Inside" are apparently the most radio-friendly and a bit 'safe for a Mudvayne album much appreciated. The rest of the screen is the quality stuff.
The best album, and a large representation of the group that originally fell in "Heard It All Before" and "Burn the Bridge." One is a bit 'is a progressive and a more traditional, but also the indisputable talent of a creative ad Mudvayne: create catchy music and nice sounds ugly and out.
Other points include "Closer" (not everyone likes the NIN classic of the same name!), "I Can not Wait" and "grazing". Each song uses some of the best features Mudvayne's Chad Grey that unique voice .. Matt's unorthodox drumming, Ryan's groovy bass lines, etc.
Thus, whileMudvayne not a classic in the sense that LD 50 and The End of All Things to Come, yet feel very rewarding. The band could have taken the safe path and all other albums released radio-friendly, but they did not. Instead, they dug something special for their original fans. I can only hope that they do so in the future.
